Wildly Weird

Here’s the deal.

I have been with the same man since I was 18.

My friendships haven’t changed in as many years.

The people I talk to outside of my “circle” are other sports related parents or co-worker friends.

In no world have I had to cultivate a new relationship since social media debuted.

I barely know how to have normal conversations in real life situations let alone online ones when I have no facial cues being offered to me from the other side of a screen.

I’m telling you this because while I haven’t had a need to meet new in real life folks, I have been discovering new online ones. And they’re either hilarious or encouraging or inspirational and are bringing joy to my scroll and I may or may not be STAN-Ning them.

Did I just use the stalker/fan merge word as a verb?

Yes, yes I did.

Can we use the stalker/fan merge word as a verb?

Well I have no idea because I don’t usually venture into the modern world long enough to know what’s trending.

Anyway.

I just think that we so easily vocalize all the negativity with each other and about one another that I’ve made it my personal mission to be a kind space in all the noise.

But kindness never goes unsuspicioned (I just made up that word) so I would like to take a moment to proclaim that I have no ulterior motives (besides making the world softer) and I would like to assure you that my insanity is purely pleasant and my obsessive compulsive nature is only ever self destructive.

All that to say: keep spreading kindness friends. Be bold in it and be weird with it. Even if it’s too much, I don’t think it can ever be enough.
