Love Letter: You are Worthy

It’s Valentine’s Day and whether that is a holiday that means jack shit to you or you find it mesmerizing, I just wanted to drop in with a little love letter.

A few thing to remember on this day of spreading love, if you will.

So without further ado…

Whether or not you have a Valentine does not define your worth.

Whether or not you have a romantic partner does not define your worth.

Whether or not you have big heart banners, a Valentine candy treasure hunt scattered throughout your home, or you simply wake up your kids with kisses does not define your parental worth.

Whether or not your kids made the most artistic form of Valentine box or have a hodge podge of stickers and construction paper cut outs for their card exchange (and can we take a moment to insert fucking valentine boxes here because those fuckers catch me off guard every year) does not define your worth.

Whether or not your Valentine smothers you in gorgeous gifts or a simple card or nothing at all does not define your relationship worth.

I guess what I want to impart on a day where I know social media will be slathered with all kinds of pictures of presents, and couples, and love notes (and fucking valentine boxes), is that your worth is not measured by any of those things. In fact, I don’t think anything in this world can measure our worth but that’s a post for another day.

Buu-uuuut, if you are hell bent on putting something out there then might I give you a suggestion…

…kindness to yourself and others. I think that is the most worth it thing we can bring into this world.

And that’s all I have to say for today, folks.

So if you love this love filled day then I hope you enjoy giving all the love to your loved ones.

And if you don’t, then I hope you enjoy your ‘nother Monday!
