Milo Monday and a Yummy Recipe

It’s already the Monday after Thanksgiving. I don’t know about you but this holiday weekend flew by and we are officially in the “after the 1st of the year season!”

This time of year is my absolute favorite. I mean for all the obvious reasons like people are nicer and all the lights glowing after sunset and peppermints just seem to taste better but also because it’s like the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is one long holiday.

We eat what we want because all the stuff that is only out at Christmas is out. We buy what we want because everything is on sale and I’m kind of a “one for you, two for me” Christmas gift shopper. But the best part is that it is socially acceptable to put everything on hold until after the first of the year.

New exercise regimen?

I’ll start after the first of the year.

Budget?

I’ll follow it after the first of the year.

Consistency? Scheduling? Routine?

After the first of the year.

Adulting?

After the first of the year.

It’s just glorious isn’t it? But that’s not even what I had planned to talk about in this post. Turns out once I get to yapping, I can’t stop the stream of consciousness so welcome to my brain.

And it also makes me realize how awful at blog post titles I am because I’m going to spend about four sentences referencing the blog title topics which… is that misleading? I feel like it’s misleading but again, welcome to my brain.

Anyway.

If I was writing this post strictly based on the blog title here’s how it would go:

It’s the Monday after Thanksgiving and we have been eating turkey leftovers for dayyyyyys. My family got kind of sick of Thanksgiving dinner on repeat (I mean how do you get sick of Thanksgiving dinner on repeat, but okay) and so I was super proud of myself for following the back of the box recipe for turkey pot pie which my sister pointed out is actually a thanksgiving leftover casserole which seems less fancy and clever but whatever.

Anyway, it’s pretty yummy if you still have turkey and all the fixin’s lying around I’d say it’s worth making.

Oh, and the other yummy point of my post Happy Milo Monday! Insert lol laughing emoji here.
